Jesse Gilmer’s 15-year-old daughter has been arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder.
A man’s daughter and her boyfriend have been arrested after he was found stabbed to death, according to Nebraska police.
The Lincoln Police Department (LPD) was alerted at 4:06 p.m. on Monday, October 3, to reports of an unconscious man who had appeared to have been stabbed at an apartment near South 40th Street and Highway 2.
When officers arrived, they found Jesse Gilmer, 70, dead inside the apartment with injuries consistent with having been attacked by someone with « a bladed instrument. »
According to Lincoln officials, so far this year there have been four homicides in the city and there were eight in total last year.
An LPD spokesperson said in a statement released on Tuesday that Jesse’s 15-year-old daughter was in the home when they arrived.
The statement continued: « Sallie Gilmer, Jesse’s daughter, was at the apartment when officers arrived. She reported she came home from school and found her father stabbed.
