A rare total lunar eclipse will be visible in Houston sky tonight

A total lunar eclipse will be visible in Houston in the early hours of Tuesday, according to NASA
The Bayou City will have a front-row seat to a total lunar eclipse—the last one for the next three years—happening in the early morning hours Tuesday. Per NASA, the initial phase of the eclipse—a phenomenon that occurs when the sun, Earth and moon align and the moon falls completely in our planet’s shadow—will begin at 2:02 a.m. CT as the moon enters the Earth’s penumbra, which is the outer part of the shadow. At 3:09 a.m., it will appear as though a big bite was taken out of the lunar disk during a partial eclipse phase. 
The lunar disk enters totality when the entire moon is in the Earth’s umbra, which lasts for about an hour and a half, starting at 4:17 a.
