Paul Pelosi could have fended off his attacker if he had a gun, according to Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene.
Greene blamed the recent attack at the Pelosis’ San Fransisco residence on Democratic policies regarding immigration and gun laws, in a Twitter post Tuesday.
« If Paul Pelosi was a 2A supporting gun owner he could have shot the man that was trying to kill him, » the Republican congresswoman tweeted. « It’s dangerous Democrat policies that led to Paul Pelosi being attacked. »
Last Friday, the 82-year-old husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was violently assaulted in their home by an attacker who police have identified as David DePape. Mr. Pelosi sustained a skull fracture and serious injuries to his right arm and hands, according to a spokesperson.
