Vice President Harris is scheduled to join Biden at the event, sponsored by the Democratic National Committee, at the Howard Theater. Among other things, Biden and Harris are expected to thank Democratic staffers for their efforts.
“Here’s what we do know: While the press and the pundits are predicting a giant red wave, it didn’t happen,” Biden said at a White House news conference Wednesday afternoon. Voters “sent a clear, unmistakable message that they want to preserve our democracy and protect the right to choose in this country.”
