AMD has achieved a historical market share of over 30% within the overall CPU segment thanks to its EPYC CPUs. The latest share statistics were shared by Mercury Research for the fourth quarter of 2022 which highlight the progress of Intel and AMD in the processor space.
AMD’s EPYC Win! CPU Share Grew Past 30% In Q4 2022 As Intel Continues To Decline
According to the report by Mercury Research (via Reuters), it’s being reported that AMD now has a market share of 31.3% (up from 28.5% in Q4 2021) versus Intel’s 68.7% (down from 71.5%). That’s more than a quarter of the overall market that AMD has managed to grab with its server & client chips and this is just the start.
