Helena Bonham Carter Doesn't Think 'The Crown' "Should Carry On"

Helena Bonham Carter, who starred as Princess Margaret on Seasons 3 and 4 of ‘The Crown,’ says the show has changed since shifting to modern events.
Helena Bonham Carter received two Emmy nominations for her portrayal of Princess Margaret on Netflix‘s The Crown during Seasons 3 and 4 of the show, but now that her time in the drama is up, she thinks the show should wrap altogether.
While starring on The Crown, Bonham Carter helped portray the monarchy of the 1960s and ’70s, an era far enough removed from present day to feel like a “historic drama,” the actress said in an interview with The Guardian. Now that the show is moving forward in history and depicting more recent events, she says it’s time to call “cut.”
“I don’t think they should carry on, actually. I’m in it and I loved my episodes, but it’s very different now,” Bonham Carter said of the Peter Morgan drama.
