His death was first reported by the Italian outlet Repubblica, which alleged that Stevenson died while filming a project on the island of Ischia after being hospitalized Saturday (May 20) afternoon.
News of his death was later reported by The Wrap, which confirmed Stevenson had died but shared his “cause of death is currently undisclosed.”

Per Stevenson’s IMDb biography, he was born in Lisburn, Northern Ireland on May 25, 1964. While he originally pursued a career in interior design, he enrolled in the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and began his professional acting career after graduating at 29.
