In the era of tracking your every move online, DuckDuckGo has been the privacy-forward search engine that puts a digital condom over your searches so none of your data goes where it shouldn’t. However, browsers are implementing features to aid in tracking you across the web, so, of course, a privacy-focused browser is needed as well. Thus, enter the DuckDuckGo browser, which has now come to Windows.
Announced in late 2021, the DuckDuckGo browser was to be the “everyday browsing app that respects your privacy.” Given this, it is not a fork of the open-source Chromium browser like many other browsers but a standalone app that utilizes the underlying operating system rendering API.
