Mortal Kombat 1 brings the composer that created music for games like Devil May Cry 5 and Killer Instinct to the fray for its own soundtrack.
It’s been confirmed by NetherRealm Studios that Mortal Kombat 1 will have Casey Edwards as the composer for its soundtrack. The video game composer has created music for games such as The Division and Devil May Cry 5.
Mortal Kombat 1 is the latest video game in the franchise that’s considered a soft reboot of the Mortal Kombat series. The game will let players experience the events of an alternate universe created by Liu Kang. Additionally, the game will have a new mechanic called Kameo Fighters in which NPC Kombatants can appear to assist a player. Each of the Kameo Fighters can be picked from a secondary roster following the main pick and mix and match the skills of the Kombatants.
Recently, the studio in charge of Mortal Kombat 1 has announced that the game will have Casey Edwards will join the fray as the composer of the game’s soundtrack.
