Nothing has announced CMF by Nothing an affordable sub-brand with Nothing’s DNA.
Nothing is a relatively new electronics brand founded by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei. Nothing has released a community update video for Q2 2023, where it shares the updates of the brand. Carl Pei has announced a new sub-brand called CMF by Nothing, where a new range of products with better designs will be launched. CMF stands for Colour, Material, and Finish. The co-founder left OnePlus in October 2020 and announced the Nothing brand later in January 2021.
The upcoming sub-brand from Nothing seems to follow the strategy of OnePlus’s sub-brand Nord. Later, the brand acquired Essential Products and partnered with Teenage Engineering to produce electronics with aesthetics. Nothing announced its first product, Nothing Ear (1), in July 2021 after much hype and leaks. A year later, the company announced its first smartphone, Nothing Phone (1). The company has launched Nothing Ear (2), Nothing (Stick), and Nothing Phone (2) in separate events.
