It tops the previous record-winning pot of $1.537 billion won in South Carolina in 2018.
Some New Yorkers are level-headed when it comes to what they’d do if they had the winning numbers.
“I feel like the smart thing would be to invest some of it, right? In, like, whatever I can. Something entry-level and easy,” Long Island native Natali Sanchez, 18, who now lives in Stuyvesant Park, told The Post.
The part-time student and barista also said she would take a break from the city.
