‘Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour’ concert film will arrive in theaters this October.
If 2023 is remembered for one thing, it will Taylor Swift‘s Eras Tour. The record-shattering, internet-breaking concert tour has been a tough ticket to come by, but pretty soon fans will be able to watch it on the big screen because it was just announced that it will be made into a concert film coming to theaters this fall.
Swift announced the film to her 271 million Instagram followers yesterday, and in the time since, the film has broken ticket pre-sale records and crashed the AMC app, but of course all of that was to be expected.
Here’s everything we know about the Eras Tour film.
According to the Sept. 1 Puck newsletter, the concert film was shot at a recent Los Angeles stop on the Eras tour. It reportedly cost between $10 and 20 million to film, with Swift and her parents Scott and Andrea paying for the production costs themselves.
In fact, the entire production is being run by the Swifts, who sought out AMC Theaters as the distributor of the film (which caused the AMC App to crash, once Swifties started to log on to buy tickets to the film).
