Baldur's Gate 3's Rumored Cut Werewolf Character Explained

When dataminers got a hold of Baldur’s Gate 3, they found a cut companion who could have offered unique diversity as a werewolf.
Baldur’s Gate 3 has a plethora of companions to choose from. From Astarion to Karlach, players see a wide range of variety in tropes and personality types. But for some curious dataminers, they were not enough. In dataminers’ searches, they found entire areas, quests and storylines, and a cut companion by the name of Helia.
Helia would have been a halfling werewolf bard. She was so far along in development that the dataminers even found potential voice lines from her in Baldur’s Gate 3 files. However, she didn’t even have a stand-in during early access, making her progress as a character confusing. Fans aren’t sure if she was almost ready for release or if she just lucked out with getting voice lines. At the end of the day, she got cut from the game entirely and is only seen in game files. Helia was planned to be a halfling Bard Origin character and a werewolf. There were even clues to point to her character being based on and inspired by Little Red Riding Hood.
