Here’s proof that iOS 17.0.3 fixes the iPhone 15’s overheating issues

Testing by ZDNet demonstrates how the update addresses the issue.
Apple released the iOS 17.0.3 update last week which brings two critical security updates and purports to fix a widespread issue with iPhone 15 overheating. Apple’s release notes merely state that the update fixes “an issue that may cause iPhone to run warmer than expected,” real-world tests have shown that the update dramatically lowers temperatures.
According to testing done by ZDNet’s Jason Hiner, the update lowers temperatures by as much as 15 degrees at its hottest moment. Hiner experienced overheating while reviewing the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max and found that the Pro Max got up to 107.
