Huawei’s upcoming HarmonyOS Next will completely remove support for Android apps with the company now focusing on building native apps.
Despite no longer having Google Mobile Services, Huawei is still going strong and making some strides in its domestic market. The company shows no sign of stopping as it is still working on new phones, and considering the expected production numbers, things are pretty impressive. Huawei announced the HarmonyOS Next earlier this year at its developer conference, and based on the information we have received, the new version is going to be a pure version of the HarmonyOS operating system, and there are going to be no Android libraries, as the company is looking to replace existing versions of the platform on all the devices.
