Surprise: Steam Deck OLED Launches Nov. 16 With Better Chip, Battery Life, More

Valve’s Steam Deck OLED model comes with at least 512GB of memory for $549.99.
It’s not exactly a second-gen device, but Valve is releasing an upgraded Steam Deck that features an OLED screen, better battery life, Wi-FI 6E, and slew of other minor improvements. 
The Steam Deck OLED goes on sale Nov. 16, starting at $549.99 for the 512GB model; a 1TB version will be $649.99. Apparently, Valve made the announcement after GameStop accidentally leaked details about the console. 
By ditching the LCD, the OLED upgrade promises to offer better visuals with deeper blacks and higher color contrast. In addition, the new OLED display is slightly larger at 7.4 inches versus 7 inches. The improved screen can also run at a 90Hz refresh rate, up from 60Hz.
