Kate Micucci has updated fans on her recent lung cancer diagnosis and surgery. According to People, The Big Bang Theory actress took to TikTok on Saturday (Dec. 9) to break her health news, greeting viewers by saying, “this is not a TikTok, it’s a ‘SickTok.’”
“I’m in the hospital, but it’s because I had lung cancer surgery yesterday,” she clarified.
Highlighting that doctors caught her disease “pretty early,” she noted that her diagnosis is “pretty weird” because she’s “never smoked a cigarette in [her] life.”
“It was a surprise, but also, I guess it happens,” she continued. “And so the greatest news is they caught it early, they got it out, I’m all good.
