Following WWE’s huge deal with Netflix, Vince McMahon is now facing a sex trafficking lawsuit from former WWE employee Janel Grant.
In what should be WWE’s finest hour, WWE founder Vince McMahon continues to be haunted by his demons.
A new lawsuit from a woman who received “hush money” payouts from Vince McMahon, Janel Grant has alleged sex trafficking at the hands of TKO’s Executive Chairman. Per the Wall Street Journal, the lawsuit against McMahon alleges Grant was “abused and sexually exploited by McMahon while he was chief executive [of WWE]. She alleged that McMahon lured her with promises of career advancement, and then he allegedly exploited her and trafficked her to other men inside the company.”
McMahon, his lawyer Jerry McDevitt and WWE didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment on Thursday.
The latest allegations against McMahon bring about more questions about Simpson Thatcher’s federal probe against WWE. The probe found $14.6 million in payments by McMahon to the women who accused him of sexual misconduct. Around $20 million of these payments should have been booked as business expenses.
