The telecom network is currently conducting trials in Mumbai, Pune, and Delhi.
Vi is also planning to close down its 3G services and utilise the bandwidth to improve its 4G coverage.
Airtel and Reliance-backed Jio are already rolling out the 5G network in the country and might soon announce dedicated 5G plans in the country, which could be 5-10 percent more expensive than 4G packs. It is Vodafone Idea that is yet to announce the 5G rollout plans.
