Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley eked out her first—and likely only—Super Tuesday win in Vermont’s GOP primary, beating former President Donald Trump by fewer than 3,000 votes, a tiny bright spot as Trump racks up wins in virtually every other state.Key Facts
Haley beat Trump by 4.3 percentage points, or 2,511 votes, when the Associated Press called the race for her at 10:37 p.m. Tuesday, with over 80% of votes counted.
So far, Trump has won 11 of the 15 other states to hold their GOP primaries on Super Tuesday, putting him within striking distance of winning the GOP nomination.
