Daybell was found guilty of three counts of first-degree murder, insurance fraud and conspiracy to commit murder and grand theft in relation to the murders prosecutors say he committed in 2019, multiple outlets reported Thursday afternoon.
Daybell had pleaded not guilty to killing his first wife, Tammy Daybell, and his second wife’s two children Tylee Ryan, 16, and JJ Vallow, 7.
Jury deliberations in the case began Wednesday and wrapped up just before 1 p.m. local time, CBS reported.
In opening statements in April, Idaho prosecutors described Daybell as a power-hungry man who “had a chance at what he considered his rightful destiny” and “made sure that no person and no law would stand in his way,” CNN reported.
