Disney-Pixar’s “Inside Out 2” continues to dominate the domestic box office and is estimated to make $98 million in its second weekend in theaters.
Deadline reports that Inside Out 2 made an estimated $30 million on Friday alone. Should the estimated $98 million weekend take hold up, Inside Out 2 will become the first film since Barbie in 2023 to make more than $90 million in its second weekend in release. Inside Out 2 is playing in 4,400 theaters.
Inside Out 2 marks the return of the original film’s main character, Riley (voice of Kensington Tallman), who is now 13 and with adolescence is experiencing a whole new set of emotions including Anxiety, Envy, Embarrassment and Ennui (which means boredom).
