In an op-ed published in the New York Times, actor George Clooney, who recently hosted a star-studded fundraiser for Biden, today called for him to drop out of his race for re-election. Clooney wrote that “the the one battle he cannot win is the fight against time. None of us can. It’s devastating to say it, but the Joe Biden I was with three weeks ago at the fund-raiser was not the Joe “big F-ing deal” Biden of 2010. He wasn’t even the Joe Biden of 2020. In an interview this morning on Morning Joe, former Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi declined to explicitly endorse Biden as the party’s nominee, and “encouraged her colleagues in Congress to pause from making public statements either for or against Biden,” CNBC reported.
