Major spoilers from « Deadpool & Wolverine »—including video clips from the Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman movie—have already hit social media. Here’s why you should avoid them.
As such, X users should not go on the social media platform and maybe they should avoid Facebook, too. While the idea of users posting movie spoilers isn’t anything new, the Deadpool & Wolverine spoilers are particularly deflating because they’re happening before audiences can see the movie at Thursday evening previews. Deadpool & Wolverine opens in theaters nationwide on Friday.
Unless you’ve altered your user settings, videos may start playing automatically when you scroll down your news feed and it’s hard to unsee what you’ve already seen.
Social media is the bane of existence, of course, for many celebrities—especially when they are caught on video saying something stupid or audio or video that features them in a negative way.
In this instance, the actor referred to how unauthorized photos of the production were hampering the film’s efforts.
“Surprises are part of the magic of theatrical movies,” Reynolds wrote in his Instagram story. “It’s important for us to shoot the new Deadpool film in real, natural environments, using practical effects as opposed to making movies indoors and digitally.
