Fans are making Clueless jokes after Alicia Silverstone posted an unusual TikTok in which she took a bite of what some think is a form of deadly nightshade. In addition to receiving more than 9,000 comments on TikTok, the video reached viral fame on X (formerly known as Twitter), when a journalist shared the clip.
« OK, I’ve discovered something that I can’t figure out what it is and I need your help », the actress told her followers in a TikTok video on August 19. She then revealed that she’d found a fruit « on the sidewalk » that she and her companions thought might be « a tomato. » Pointing the camera to the bushes that the fruit had clearly fallen off of, she expressed skepticism. « It’s definitely not because look at these leaves! » The Babysitters’ Club actress then bites into the fruit, musing, « I don’t think you’re supposed to eat this, but it tastes like a pepper.
