Former WWE Champion and professional wrestling legend Sid Vicious has passed away. He was 63 years old.
Beloved professional wrestler Sid Eudy has sadly passed away after a battle with cancer. He was 63 years old.
Better known as Sid Vicious, Sid Justice, and Sycho Sid, Eudy was an iconic figure in WWE and WCW history, winning two WWF Championships, two WCW World Heavyweight Championships, and the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship.
Eudy’s son, Gunnar Eudy, announced his father’s passing on Facebook.
« I am deeply saddened to share that my father, Sid Eudy, has passed away after battling cancer for several years », Gunnar Eudy said. « He was a man of strength, kindness, and love, and his presence will be greatly missed. »
Born on Dec. 16, 1960, Sid Eudy began his professional wrestling career in 1987 at Continental Championship Wrestling as a masked wrestler known as Lord Humongous.
After competing in multiple promotions, he would soon move to World Class Championship Wrestling and adopt the moniker Sid Vicious, taken from the well-known bass player for the Sex Pistols
In 1989, Eudy signed with World Championship Wrestling (WCW), serving as a member of The Skyscrapers with Danny Spivey and The Four Horsemen after the latter reformed in 1989.
