Apple has long been rumored to be working on a smart display to compete with Amazon’s Echo and Google Nest. A new leak now suggests that these devices could finally debut in 2025, running on a brand new platform called homeOS.
Words for it come from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman who claimed Apple is working on not one, but two pairs of smart displays, each designed to bring their AI smarts to your home.
The first model is reportedly code-named J595 and is expected to be the premium option of the two. Gurman previously reported that this model might come with a robotic arm that can tilt and rotate the screen for better viewing.
