‘Sector 36’, and ‘Mr Bachchan’, along with the web series ‘IC 814 The Kandahar Hijack’ have made it to Netflix’s list of most-watched non-English content this week.
The Telugu film, Mr Bachchan, which earlier released in theatres on August 15, also made it to the list of most-watched non-English films this week and ranked at the tenth slot on the platform.Sector 36
Vikrant Massey’s new film Sector 36 is based on the horrific rapes, killings, and cannibalism which was unearthed near India’s Noida in 2006. While the premise and gory details of the real-life case hold potential for a gripping thriller, the film lacks the sensitivity required for the story. More often than not, Sector 36 feels too staged, and lacks coherence at times, but strong performances by both lead actors ensure you stay hooked on to it till the end. On the Netflix list, Sector 36 ranked below the South Korean comedy Officer Black Belt and the Brazilian crime movie Outlaw.
