According to Bob Woodward’s upcoming book, Biden warned the Russian leader of « catastrophic consequences » if Russia used nukes.
President Joe Biden warned Russian leader Vladimir Putin not to use nuclear weapons in Ukraine, according to an upcoming book by journalist Bob Woodward.
The Associated Press (AP) obtained an advance copy of Woodward’s book, War, which is due out next week. The AP wrote Woodward detailed how the Biden administration received intelligence information that said Putin could resort to using nukes in Ukraine in order to avoid significant battlefield losses.
According to Woodward, Biden told national security adviser Jake Sullivan to « get on the line with the Russians.
