Moana 2 closed in on $200 million in global receipts Friday, and with a long holiday weekend the picture is set to make a serious run at $400 million through Monday.
With two weeks of mild competition from newcomers, Moana 2 should have smooth sailing ahead into the Christmas season holiday. That’s plenty of time to run up the score domestically with repeat business and powerful word of mouth.
I expect Moana 2 to reach $650-700 million by close of business next Sunday, depending on how much it overperforms the rest of this weekend and on its initial weekdays.Can Wicked Slow Moana 2?
