Taylor Swift’s ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ has returned to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart after the physical release of the deluxe ‘Anthology’ edition
Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department has topped the Billboard 200 album chart once again.
The pop star’s 11th studio album, first released on April 19, had its best sales since its second week of release after Target exclusively released a physical edition of the TTPD: The Anthology deluxe album over Thanksgiving weekend. The expanded edition scored 405,000 equivalent album units in the week ending December 5, per a Billboard report on Sunday, December 8.
Those numbers give TTPD its best week of sales since its second week when it scored 439,000 equivalent album units. Of course, the album debuted atop the Billboard 200 back in April, with a total of 2.61 million units (1.914 million traditional copies and 891.34 million on-demand streams) tallied across all platforms in its first week of release.
TTPD’s return to the top of the summit marks its 16th nonconsecutive week at No.
