Turns out, that wasn’t a snub. It was intentional.
« I didn’t even meet him till the very end », Director Lana Wilson revealed to the Daily Mail during a screening in New York City on Friday, December 6. « Her relationships have been through the microscope. I didn’t really have any interest in filming that. »
Wilson, 41, said the 34-year-old pop sensation was going through « something so profound and powerful » at the time, and that her relationship with Alwyn, 33, « wasn’t related to the themes in the film.
