With Windows 10 security upgrades ending in October, Microsoft ramps up its Windows 11 marketing campaign, encouraging people to give its newest OS a look—or else.
Microsoft has repeatedly deployed OS pop-ups to encourage Windows 10 users to upgrade to Windows 11. But it’s now sending emails that also urge users to recycle their Windows 10 PCs.
« End of support for Windows 10 is approaching », the subject line says. Inside, the message warns, « After October 14, 2025, Microsoft will no longer provide free software updates from Windows Update, technical assistance, or security fixes for Windows 10.
