Monster Hunter Wilds has beaten Monster Hunter World to become the fastest-selling game in Capcom history.
Capcom, one of the few remaining publishers eager to share hard sales data of their games, has announced that the Monster Hunter Wilds launch has broken records. The action game has so far sold more than 8 million copies in just three days.
This is the fastest any game has reached that figure in Capcom’s history.
The 8 million milestone was announced in a press release this morning. Although Capcom didn’t specify, given the language – the figure likely represents copies sold to consumers across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox – not merely shipped to retailers
Before Wilds, Monster Hunter World was Capcom’s largest-ever release – somewhat unexpectedly.
