Some PS Plus Users Are Canceling Their Subscriptions

PlayStation Plus offers a variety of benefits and free PS4 and PS5 games, but some PlayStation fans are now canceling their subscriptions.
Some PlayStation Plus users have canceled their subscriptions for the first time in several years of being members, citing frustrations with Sony’s handling of the service. Although PlayStation Plus brings a slew of free games every month, some PlayStation fans are left wanting more than free games in their library.
Every month, Sony refreshes its lineup of free games that PlayStation Plus Essential, Extra, and Premium subscribers may access and keep with their subscriptions, as long as users renew them. The PlayStation Plus Premium tier grants access to classic PS1, PS2, and PSP games, alongside cloud streaming for PS3 and PS5 games. Extra and Premium tiers also have access to the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog, which sees new additions and removals every month. For some players, the cycle of receiving new games and experiencing some of their favorite games removed from PlayStation Plus has led them to reconsider their subscriptions and buy the games outright on sale.
Reddit user anthonybrothers canceled their PlayStation Plus subscription after being a subscriber for almost 15 years, and some other players are contemplating canceling their subscriptions as well.
