The European Union has approved a retaliation against more than $20 billion in US goods.
The European Union (EU) has approved a package of countermeasures that includes tariffs on more than $20 billion of U.S. goods as it strikes back against President Donald Trump in his trade war.
The package was proposed in response to Trump’s 25 percent tariff on steel and aluminum. The tariffs will be collected from April 15 and will also be 25 percent.
A list of goods proposed to be hit by the tariffs published by the EU in March included industrial products such as textiles, leather goods, home appliances, house tools, plastics, wood products.
