Independent brand Awake has introduced its latest project, the Jurassic Watch, a limited edition series that combines cinematic nostalgia with impressive watchmaking skill. Presented as the first chapter in the new “Tribute to The 7th Art” collection, the release revisits Jurassic Park through a watchmaker’s lens, without straying into gimmickry.
The collection includes two models, T-Rex and Raptors, each limited to 50 pieces. Both versions feature dials that are hand-lacquered using techniques adapted from Awake’s Sơn Mài series. Layered silver leaf and natural pigments create a textured, almost reptilian finish, designed to give off the sense of the film’s prehistoric creatures.
