The recent Nintendo Direct event was a big day for fans of the brand, but especially those with fond memories of the GameCube.
Nintendo’s upcoming Switch 2 revealed a lot of exciting features at the most recent Nintendo Direct event. A brand-new Mario Kart entry, GameChat with screen-sharing, and Nintendo-exclusive FromSoftware title brought the excitement for the console to even greater heights. Even better, the wait for the Switch 2 isn’t going to be much longer, as a June 5 release date has been locked in.
There are a lot of exciting games coming to the Switch 2. From massive hits like Cyberpunk 2077 and Split Fiction to the tease of Hollow Knight: Silksong potentially releasing this year, the Switch 2’s early roster is shaping up to be strong. All of these game announcements were exciting enough, but for longtime Nintendo fans, the surprising return of some GameCube classics could make the Switch 2 a truly special console for a lot of gamers.
