Social media users were divided over the blunder, with one saying: « this is better, » while another said: « how are people not seeing how it’s wrong. »
A video of a home renovation mishap has gone viral on TikTok, as viewers watched a diamond floor painting project go slightly off plan.
The clip shared by Alexandra Aller (@byalexaller), one half of the real estate and design duo The Reno Gals, shows a woman painting what is meant to be a diamond pattern on a floor using blue tape as a stencil. The video has racked up more than 50 million views since it was shared on June 21.
The overlaid text reads: « She has no idea that she is doing this diamond floor design wrong. »
Instead of forming a continuous series of touching diamonds, the taped pattern leaves small gaps between each shape.
Aller, unfazed by the outcome, embraces the result. « The design was supposed to be diamonds that touch, but it ends up leaving a space that I think looks really nice and less rigid », she told Newsweek.
