The suspect allegedly shot a state trooper before going to the church.
A state trooper is getting medical attention after a suspect shot before fleeing to a nearby Lexington church, the Kentucky State Police (KSP) said in a post on X Sunday.
The suspect, who has not yet been named, allegedly went to Richmond Road Baptist Church after the trooper-involved shooting, which happened around 11:36 a.m. local time in Fayette County, according to KSP.
