The big telecommunication service providers in the U.S. have seen intense competition in recent years, with each carrier trying its best to win the race as the leader in the category. To remain competitive and sustain its position, many of the telecom companies engage in sales practices that are considered shady and have been criticized for a lack of transparency. Verizon has earned a reputation for using loyalty discounts to lure customers in and stop them from making a switch, but the discounts claimed are often not there, leading to confusion and an air of mistrust. Customer claims that Verizon is luring in with discounts, and when the deal is done, the offer is taken away without any warning
Verizon is said to be testing its customers’ patience by offering enticing discounts to lock users in, and after the mission is achieved, it pulls out the discount, leading to many of them frustrated enough to not even share about the ill experience.
