Apple Wallet Adds Support for Digital IDs in Another State

Residents of Montana can now add their state-issued IDs to the Wallet app. It can be used for verification at over 250 airports and some businesses.

Montana has become the latest state to support driver’s licenses and state-issued IDs in the Wallet app.
People in the state can now add their IDs to the Wallet app and present them for verification at select TSA checkpoints and for certain age-restricted purchases at participating businesses. While you can keep your ID on both an iPhone and an Apple Watch, it can be added only from an iPhone.
To add a digital ID in the Wallet app, tap the + (plus) sign at the top right, select the type of ID and your state, and follow the on-screen instructions to scan the front and back of your ID.
