Denise Richards took to Instagram on Thursday to discuss her « very difficult » split from Aaron Phypers after less than six years of marriage.

The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum, 54, took to Instagram on Thursday, Aug. 21, to discuss her “very difficult” split from Aaron Phypers, 52, after less than six years of marriage.
“I was just checking in to see how your summer’s been going,” Richards began. “Mine has been wonderful.”
“It’s actually been s—ty. But I’m gonna pretend like it’s all good,” she confessed. “I’ve actually been posting on Instagram like nothing’s going on in my life, and I can’t do that anymore, because there’s something obviously going on.”
The “Wild Things” actress went on to thank her fans for their support as she continues to process her ugly split from Phypers.
“Many of you have been so kind and so supportive of me. I see all of your messages,” Richards added. “I can’t comment because it’ll be taken out and put in the press, but I just wanted to, in all seriousness, say that this has been a very, very, very difficult time.”
After fighting back tears, the former Bravo star opened up about “hard” divorce from her estranged husband – noting it’s especially difficult since it’s her second. She divorced her first husband, Charlie Sheen, back in 2006.
“It’s so hard to go through a divorce,” she explained. “Many of you have gone through that. This isn’t my first one, it’s my second one, and I never thought I’d get divorced again.
