Players can find all the upgrade variants for the Gorgofex wonder weapon in Reckoning right here with easy-to-follow steps!
The Gorgofex arrives as the exclusive Wonder Weapon found in Reckoning, the last Black Ops 6 Zombies map before Black Ops 7 takes the stage. With the Reckoning map being the finale of Black Ops 6 Zombies, it’s no surprise that the Wonder Weapon featured would have some powerful upgrades, along with a way to tie up loose ends. Upgrading the Gorgofex in Reckoning has some dire consequences involving the fate of its characters, and players will have to pick who lives and who dies between Janus’ head of security, Blanchard, and the scientist gone mad, Panos. Below are both upgrade paths for Gorgofex in easy-to-follow steps:
How to Get the Gorgofex C Upgrade (Save Blanchard/Kill Panos)
Gorgofex C is the variant that players can get if they decide to help Blanchard instead of betraying him, and listed below are the coherent steps that players will want to follow to ensure that they save Richtofen’s ally, and get themselves a neat new blue Gorgofex upgrade.
After acquiring the Gorgofex, head up to the top floor of the T1 tower into the T1 Executive Suite. When facing the north wall, players can find a closed metal door, and interacting with the closed metal door will see Blanchard appear behind it. Activating this mini-cutscene with Blanchard triggers the first step to helping him stop Panos and avenge those lost at Liberty Falls.
After speaking with Blanchard, head back to the spawn where in the T1 Project Janus Reception with the teleporter, there will be a red button that no longer has a case covering it. Interact with the button to trigger a Maintenance Klaus, who will begin to work on one of the terminals in the reception area. Players need to defend this Maintenance Klaus from zombies, and the Gorgofex is great for this due to its charged shot, as that will suspend zombies in the air with anti-gravity to delay them. Once the objective has been fulfilled, the elevator on the left of the room will be deactivated, leaving only the elevator on the right, which leads to the Mutant Research Labs.
