But it looks like the company has ended its 12-month discount for the residential plan in Canada and the US.
After discounting the price of its residential Starlink plan, SpaceX is doing the same for the Roam tier in Canada.
The deal could entice consumers curious about the satellite internet service, which excels at delivering high-speed broadband to rural and remote areas. SpaceX has updated Starlink.com to promote the discounted rate to Canadian users. The Roam 50GB plan has been reduced to CAD$39 per month, down from the usual $70.
Meanwhile, the Roam Unlimited plan has been changed to $CAD110 per month, down from $189. The catch is that the deal only applies to new customers, and lasts for just six months.
