Prosecutors alleged that Adelson helped orchestrate the killing of Daniel Markel after he refused to let her daughter move from Tallahassee to South Florida with their two children. Why It Matters
Adelson is the fifth person to be put on trial in the alleged murder-for-hire plot. Donna Adelson’s son, Charles Adelson, and his ex-girlfriend Katherine Magbanua are already serving a life sentence for the murder.
