After years of requests, Call of Duty: Warzone developer Raven Software reveals that a long-awaited feature will be coming to the title in 2026.
After years of player requests, developer Raven Software has finally announced a big map rotation feature for Call of Duty: Warzone, set to arrive early next year. Battle Royale titles such as Apex Legends have long been able to rotate large-scale maps in order to keep players’ experience fresh, but Call of Duty: Warzone has insisted that it was previously « not realistic. » That no longer appears to be the case, however, as Raven Software says it will implement the feature in 2026.
The announcement comes as Activision, Treyarch Studios, and Raven Software gear up for the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 on November 14. The next entry in the series will be a direct sequel to 2012’s Black Ops 2, featuring returning characters David Mason and Raul Menendez. Fans can also expect plenty of new features, weapons, maps, modes, and more in Black Ops 7, including an evolution of Black Ops 6’s omnimovement system. But with a full integration between Warzone and Black Ops 7 set for Season 1, Raven Software has now given fans an insight into what’s to come.
