Official renders and specs of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy XR headset have leaked with a battery pack and Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 chip.
Samsung’s XR headset isn’t much of a secret anymore. The company briefly teased the project during its January Unpacked event, but now, official renders and new details have surfaced thanks to a report from AndroidHeadlines.
Internally known as Project Moohan, the device will reportedly launch as the Samsung Galaxy XR headset. From the looks of it, Samsung is taking clear design cues from Apple’s Vision Pro. The headset features two internal lenses, a wraparound “Light Shield” for a snug fit, and an external battery pack for power, much like the Vision Pro.
The front and back of the headset are dotted with cameras and sensors. Four sensors sit under the front glass for hand tracking, while two circular sensors near the nose cutout track the lower field of view.
