Rob Reiner’s final conversation to ‘Monty Python’ star Eric Idle one day before his tragic death have been revealed.
Rob Reiner spoke to comedian Eric Idle hours before the director and his wife were killed inside their Los Angeles home.
Idle, 82, revealed details about the pair’s final conversation on Monday following news of the double homicide.
“Rob Reiner was a lovely man. I spoke to him last night for over an hour,” the “Monty Python” star wrote on X.
“I always enjoyed his company. I met him at his Dad’s in 1975,” Idle continued. “He was telling me about fiming at Stonehenge and his thoughts for the future.”
Idle added, “This is so awful. I shall miss him. A clever, talented and very thoughtful man. So awful.”
According to Deadline, Rob was working on a “Fawlty Towers” reboot with Idle’s fellow Monty Python troupe member John Cleese at the time of his death.
