However, given Qualcomm’s extractive pricing regime for its upcoming bleeding-edge Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chips, a number of smartphone OEMs, especially in Asia, are increasingly turning to the Dimensity 9600 as a viable contender to Qualcomm’s AP-related offerings.OPPO and Vivo, among others, are likely to bank on MediaTek’s Dimensity 9600 chip instead of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro SoC
According to the Weibo-based tipster, Digital Chat Station, the Pro Max versions of the next flagship smartphones from Oppo and Vivo, if announced, will likely be powered by MediaTek’s upcoming Dimensity 9600 chip instead of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro:
